Center for Voksensocial is part of Central Region Denmark's branch Psychiatry and Social Service. In agreement with the local municipalities, Central Region Denmark operates a range of specialised services and institutions for groups with special needs for social services. The users of these services all share the need for extensive help and support to cope.
Center for Voksensocial is in charge of 18 institutions and a range of specialised services directed at adults with special needs like autism, downs syndrom, different kinds of brain injuries and different psychiatrical disorders.
In addition Center for Voksensocial also facilitates courses on Alcohol and Traffic, rehabilitation for drunk drivers.
