The KfV – Kuratorium für Verkehrssicherheit (Austrian Road Safety Board) is a private non-profit association which has been providing safety services and research since 1959. Its fields of activity are:

The company KfV Sicherheit-Service GmbH (ARSB Safety Service, Ltd.) is a 100-percent subsidiary of KfV which offers an extensive set of safety services to private and public customers.

KfV and KfV Sicherheit-Service GmbH promote issues and offer their services in all regions of Austria through nine provincial offices.

The KfV is politically independent. Excellent contacts with ministries as well as regional and local authorities make sure that research results and advice create a basis for sound decisions by policy-makers.

All departments and teams of KfV work in an interdisciplinary way and are comprised of solicitors, teachers, psychologists, sociologists, statisticians and technicians.

The KfV has been a member of ETSC since the 90s and highly appreciates the opportunity to join up with the international network of experts and scientists convened by ETSC.
